Secretary General of the Interim Transition and Government Committee (ITGC), Hon. Abdul Kargbo has been elected as a member of the All People’s Congress (APC) National Advisory Committee (NAC).

Reacting to the result on Twitter, the member of Parliament for Constituency 077 appreciated members of the party for their trust.

My sincere thanks and appreciation go to all Comrades who reposed confidence in me to serve in the National Advisory Council (NAC) of the APC,” he said.

He also promised to serve the party with all his heart.

In other news, former Minister of Social Welfare, Gender and Children’s Affairs, Dr. Sylvia Olayinka Blyden lost her bid to become a NAC member.

The former minister announced her intention to run for a position at NAC last week but only managed to get three votes at the party’s National Delegates Conference (NDC) held in Makeni from 18 to 20 February 2023.

The party also elected in a landslide, Dr. Samura Kamara to serve as their presidential candidate in the 24 June elections this year.
