The Kellie Foundation has successfully concluded its nationwide campaign, ‘Operation Say NO To Drug Abuse, Addiction, and Youth Violence,’ spanning across all 16 districts of Sierra Leone.
This monumental endeavor, launched in September, aimed to combat the escalating issue of drug abuse and youth violence among the nation’s youth.
The foundation’s CEO, Elijah Kellie, along with Moses Kellie, emphasized their mission to educate, equip, engage, and empower communities in the fight against drug abuse and youth violence. The campaign, which involved a nationwide jogging event, garnered substantial support from diverse stakeholders.
Young people from all corners of Sierra Leone actively participated in the campaign, which commenced on Saturday, October 7, 2023, simultaneously in each of the 16 districts. Community involvement was a key focus for the Kellie Foundation, as they believe it to be pivotal in addressing these pressing issues.
The foundation extended a heartfelt call for support and collaboration, seeking partnerships with corporate organizations, independent companies, student organizations, and the government. Their collective mission is to create a safer and drug-free environment for Sierra Leone’s youth.
