The sudden death of Philip Neville has been a burden to Sierra Leoneans since his obituary surfaced Social media. 

According to sources from Sierra Association of Journalists (SLAJ), Philip who was taken to the Choithram Memorial Hospital, Hill Station, Freetown after he was hit by a motor bike (OKADA) at his home village of Kosso during a masquerade celebration.

The deceased was the owner an CEO of Media One Centre (Standard Times Newspaper, Star Radio and Star TV). He was also known as the former Vice President and Acting President of SLAJ.

Two days ago SLAJ, as a body lost another member of the family named Ester K Kargbo who was the  Former President of SLAJ. Extending condolences to the bereave family of late Esther K Kargbo, late Philip Neville unveiled this before he finally met his death today.

“We are all dead men and women walking on the streets so don’t be sad surprised if one of us falls down, just wait for your turn” he replied to a leaked WhatsApp chat with colleagues.
