Kao Denero and his Kenyan Counterpart, Kaligraph Jones, shared a stage at the Back to my Roots festival in Freetown and finally quashed their beef on 7th January 2022.

The Kenyan Rapper, who is commonly referred to as “Papa Jones” appeals to Kao Denero to cancel the beef as he introduced himself to thousands of Sierra Leonean fans that he is the King of Hip Hop in East Africa.

In case you missed how it all started: in January 2020, Khaligraph Jones and Kao Denero got embroiled in beef after  Khaligraph Jones won the Best Hip-hop act award at the Soundcity MVP Awards 2020, beating Blaqbonez and other Nigerian Artists.

Jones bragged that he is the King of Hip Hop in Africa after defeating Hip Hop artists from West Africa in the said famous Award.

The Kenyan hip-hop artist  “Papa Jones” further released a song titled “Lwanda Magere Legacy” which trended with different YouTubers around the world reacting to it on their youtube channels. The rapper compares himself with hip hop legend Tupac Shakur when he raps, “OG status, Makaveli in the flesh Without the piercing on the nose”. Kao Denero responded by releasing a song titled ”IM SIERRA LEONE” clapping back at Papa Jones for saying “Then you stupid without a doubt Ni**s in Sierra Leone Keep my name outta your mouth”.

In his song Kao dissed Papa Jones clapping back at him for dissing South African rapper Nasty C. He goes on to say Khali’s ex-girlfriend left him with a baby that wasn’t his.

Kao Denero further released, “Kenyatta” a song which sent shocking waves across Africa and beyond defending Hip Hop in West Africa.

It has been over a year and the stars are done beefing with each other.

Kao Denero recently invited him to partake in his Back to my Roots Festival this year in Freetown. They both shared a stage to entertain their fans.

As a sign of appreciation to the people of Sierra Leone, Jones gifted them his Jacket and boots which left him barefooted on the stage.
