Candidates of the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in Bradford, Ribbi Chiefdom, are facing significant challenges following the removal of their local examination centre. This closure has forced students from several schools to travel long distances to reach the nearest examination venue, resulting in logistical and financial difficulties for many families.

In response to this situation, the Member of Parliament, Hon. Ben Alpha Mansaray, donated 17 million old leones in cash and food supplies to five local schools on June 23, 2025. The support included rice for school feeding programs and funds to help cover transportation and exam-related expenses, aimed at easing the burden on affected students and ensuring their continued participation in the examinations.

Parents, educators, and community leaders praised the timely intervention, noting that it helped prevent further academic disruption. Hon. Mansaray emphasized the importance of fair access to education and urged authorities to avoid such administrative setbacks in the future.
