Abubakar Foday a fitter, yesterday made his first appearance before Magistrate Peter Gogra of Pademba Road Court No.6 in Freetown on a count of Larceny contrary to Section 2 of the Larceny Act 1916.

The accused is alleged to have stolen a motorbike belonging to Sarjor Vandy.

The fact of the case for determination before the Court alleged that the accused on Tuesd y 18th October 2022 at Kingharman Road, Western Area of Freetown, did steal one black color TVS motorbike with registration number AEU 051 valued at twenty-one million and forty-nine thousand Leones(le.21,049,000) property of Sarjor Vandy whilst in the custody of Foday Kebbie The accused denied the charge as was read to him by the registrar of the Court.

The prosecutor Massaquoi informed the bench about the absence of his witness and seek for a short adjourned date.

Meanwhile, Magistrate Gogra refused the accused bail and ordered him to be taken to the male correctional center in Freetown.

The matter was adjourned to the 1st of November 2022. In another development in the same court, a 25yr Es old Mamadu Keita Barrie a Petty trader appeared before Magistrate Peter Gogra on five count charges; Wounding with intent, Wounding and assault were also remanded in custody.

The particulars of the offense state that on Tuesday 18th October 2022 at 21 West Street, the accused wounded one Vivian George with intent to do him grievous bodily harm.

On the second and third counts, it reads that the accused maliciously wounded Gerald Tumaku and Vivian George. It further on the fourth and fifth counts, that the accused on the same date assaulted Vivian George and Gerald Tumaku in a manner thereby occasioning actual bodily harm.

The prosecutor, Assistant Superintendent of Police Abdul Sannoh informed the bench that his witness is absent. The matter was adjourned to the 1st of November 2022.
