Sierra Leone’s Chief Minister, Dr. David Moinina Sengeh has arrived in New York ahead of the commencement of the UN Security Council in New York.

He was received by the Deputy Permanent Representative of Sierra Leone to the United Nations, H.E. Ambassador Amara Sowa upon arrival.

The Chief Minister recently confirmed his participation in the upcoming UN Security Council’s open debate on the situation in the Middle East.

The debate, convened at the Ministerial level, is scheduled for today, January 23, 2024.
In a statement, Chief Minister Sengeh expressed Sierra Leone’s unwavering commitment to global peace and security.

He emphasized the imperative need to cease hostilities and advocated for a lasting solution through diplomatic dialogue.
