In an effort to bolster bilateral exchanges and reinforce ties between the Republic of Sierra Leone and the United Kingdom, the Chief Minister of Sierra Leone, David Monina Sengeh, recently engaged in a crucial meeting with the UK High Commissioner to Sierra Leone, Lisa J. Chesney.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister emphasized the shared values of both nations, particularly focusing on transparency, democracy, and the enhancement of governance institutions within Sierra Leone.
The discussions centered on fostering effective governance that would cater to the needs and aspirations of the Sierra Leonean population.
Since assuming office as the Chief Minister, Sengeh has been actively engaging with various partners and stakeholders to establish an inclusive governance system. This approach is aimed at supporting President Bio’s second term mandate, which was democratically bestowed upon him by the people of Sierra Leone.
The meeting between Chief Minister David Monina Sengeh and UK High Commissioner Lisa J. Chesney is seen as a pivotal step towards further strengthening diplomatic relations and fostering mutual cooperation between the two nations.
When you have a bunch of crooks running the affairs of a state, and will not want to accept mistakes,it means the state is heading for failure. The British High commission knows everything that you guys have done to stole the mandate of the electorates through the so-called ECSL commissioner. Today again,SLPP have started setting bad precedents, which the APC are always good at implementing to the latter, and which will subsequently retrogress our nation. How long are we going to live like that as a nation?
The election result clearly shows how popular the President has taken his developmental stride across the country which resulted in the SLPP gaining seats in the opposition strong hold and more seats in the city. This clearly manifested that the citizens still believed in the governance admist of the hike price of cost of domestic products they still shows their trust in Bio’s government.
Last week this people are saying they don’t need the EU and UK partners to legitimize the government. Will they take those words back. This people just want FAir and credible elections and nothing else. Don’t act like a big gorilla and you want someone’s to bring some food and pad on the back.
A fool always speak foolishly
The last five years were spent making connections with other countries according to our caretaker.
Now the chief minister is spending another five years cleaning the mess of the caretaker.
When is this country going to stop cleaning?
Or thus that means that what we were told about the too much flying abroad was for another mission?
As Sierra Leoneans, we need to learn to see the same direction (good direction) we should learn to stand for the right things.
All that we have learned over the past five years is not good for the development of this country and many young Sierra Leoneans are learning and they are planning to implement it again. Which is wrong. Leaders should set a good precedent.
Sierra Leone is no more Mama Sierra Leone but Papa Sierra Leone.
Mommy encourage their kids but we have passed that stage according to the way things are going. As for Daddy (Papa), we all know what they are capable of.
God bless this lovely country.
Good work done Mr chief minister you are on the right trajetery
The Chief Minister has taken the right step to bridge the gap in the country created by the APC folks. SL is designated by Sierra Leoneans and not APC alone, which has been in power for so long and does not want to go out of it for just a day. Imagine the heinous crimes the APC caused five years ago making the country look disintegrated and despise having the most deserving President in the history of the country after the pull-out of the British.
Good of you Mr Chief Minister, keep it up and and look into the affairs of GOLA Rainforest office in Kenema.
Where is the alleged mistake please state it . When Elections were commended as credible free transparent and fair. APC is not the reliable institution to say Elections were rigged. Where is your evidence. Please don’t insult Noble people.
