The Minister of Health and Sanitation, Dr. Austin H. Demby has arrived in Berlin, Germany to attend the World Health Summit.
He will participate in high-level roundtable discussions on how to reach a global commitment to invest in equitable and resilient health systems, based on a primary healthcare approach in an integrated way to achieve gains for both global health security and universal health coverage (UHC).
Health security and universal health coverage (UHC) are crucially interlinked. As a multistakeholder platform to promote political commitment and collective action for universal health coverage (UHC), Universal Health Coverage 2030 has been working in recent months to remind decision-makers engaging in discussions on pandemic prevention, preparedness, and response (PPR) to prioritize universal health coverage (UHC) as a pre-condition to sustainable PPR.
The Hon. Minister, will also participate in panel discussions on topics such as “Protect the Promise: Equal Access and Opportunity for Every Woman, Child and Adolescent,” and, he will engage in several side meetings with bilateral partners.
