Sierra Leone’s Minister of Water Resources, Ing. Philip Karimu Lansana has held a fruitful meeting with his Hungarian counterpart including investors and other officials.
The meeting which was held at a conference room at Sierra Leone’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs also attracted the Deputy Managing Director of the Sierra Leone Water Company (SALWACO) Mr. Albert Harrison Harvey.
The deliberations touched on the need for Hungary to explore opportunities on investments and to further see that advancements are made in the water sector.
Earlier, a meeting was also held at the Radisson Blu hotel in Freetown to further expand the discussion. Discussions also touched on improving infrastructures and the area of capacity building and network infrastructure.

The two Ministers also discussed the proposed Koidu/Kono water project which is expected to benefit of thousands of people.
The Deputy Managing Director of the Sierra Leone Water Company (SALWACO) Mr. Albert Harrison Harvey gave an overview of the Company including progress made and challenges and the possible growth opportunities.
The Hungarian team is expected to meet with various other Sierra Leonean counterparts to discuss possible growth and partnership opportunities.
