The Ministry of Lands Housing and Country Planning has informed the public that it will conduct a public raffle draw to select applicants for the allocation of lands at Allen Town in Freetown.

The public raffle draw will be conducted as a result of the high number of people (over 7,000 Sierra Leoneans) who applied for the allocation of parcels of lands (100 to 200 plots) which the Ministry announced on 25th October 2021.

To ensure transparency accountability and fairness, the Ministry of Lands has invited applicants, the press civil society organizations and the general public to the public raffle draw.

According to the Ministry of Lands, the over 7,000 application forms will be publicly dumped into a raffle drum and members of the public would be invited to do a blind deep and bring out lucky apllicants whose details would be conducted publicly and recorded.

The event will take place at the compound of Youyi Building premises in Freetown on Thursday, 9th December 2021 at 2pm. Members of the public are cordially invited to participate in the raffle draw.
