The Ministry of Social Welfare has issued a press release updating the public on the 2022 Hajj edition. The release stated that for the past two years 2020 and 2021 no Hajj pilgrimage was conducted following the emergency of the Covid-19 pandemic.

However, the Ministry clarifies that for this year 2022, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has announced that Hajj will be conducted: based on these policies

(1) That one (1) million Hujajj  will attend  Hajj from inside  and outside the Kingdom.

(2) This year’s Hajj is open to those who are under 65years  old and have received  the the main  Covid-19 PCR Test result performed within 72  hours of the time  of departure  to the Kingdom.

[3] The Saudi Ministry  of Hajj AND  umra states that the number of pilgrims coning from specific  countries for this years Hajj  will be in accordance  with the Quotas allocated  to each country and in consideration  of compliance  with health and safety while performing the Hajj

[4] All intending  Pilgrims  are required  to follow  the health instructions  and comply with  all Precautionary  measures to  preserve their  health and safety while performing the Hajjn Rituals.
