The Ministry of Works and Public Assets in a press release informed the general public of their undertaking of a thorough verification exercise of all Government Quarters in Freetown, starting from the Brookfields Area.

They highlighted the essence of the process which is to ascertain the legal occupancy of all persons currently residing in those quarters and thereafter institute steps to facilitate the immediate eviction of all illegal persons.

They commented that the engagement will assist the Ministry to get first-hand knowledge about the physical status of the Quarters, the results of which will inform its maintenance plan.

In line with this, the Ministry implored all occupants to make themselves available and present their relevant documents during the verification exercise.

In the end, they encourage the General Public to come forward with any reliable information they may have concerning the Government Quarters in the Brookfields area.
