The Ministry of Youth Affairs has announced the approval of the Global Goals 2030: Africa Scholarship Programme, offering partially funded academic opportunities for eligible Sierra Leonean youths in fields aligned with national development priorities.
According to the Ministry, the scholarship programme referenced GG30/EA958 supports courses that promote human capital development, digital transformation, innovation, financial inclusion, and private sector growth. The initiative forms part of efforts to equip young Sierra Leoneans with globally competitive skills and competencies.

Under the scheme, approved programmes include BSc in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Systems, Finance, and MSc in Business Administration. The courses will be delivered online through partner institutions such as Florida Memorial University and the California Institute for Applied Financial Sciences in the United States.
The Ministry clarified that the award is a partial scholarship, with successful candidates required to contribute up to 10% of the total programme cost, while the Global Goals programme will fund the remaining 90%.

, accompanied by a recommendation letter, motivation letter, WASSCE results, National ID or passport bio page, and transcripts for Master’s applicants. The deadline for submission is Tuesday, 20 January 2026, and candidates who applied through the previous online portal have been advised to resubmit via email.
The Ministry encouraged qualified Sierra Leonean youths to take advantage of the opportunity and expressed gratitude to the Global Goals 2030 Initiative for recognizing Sierra Leone as a beneficiary under the programme.
