The Ministry of Health and Sanitation, Health Promotion/Risk Communications and Community Engagement have on the 8th December 2023 held their annual retreat at the wizard hall in Bo city.

The event has the central focus of highlighting the achievements, address the challenges as well as enhancing programme quality at all times for the people of the country.

In his presentation, Dr. Ade Renner reviewed the health promotion policy highlighting its prevention, education and community engagement components as well as the potential impact on reducing health disparities and overall population of the health outcome in the country.

The health programme manager, Harold Thomas rolled out the achievement in the past two years and the plans to expand its reach, develop innovative materials and strengthen the partnerships for the year 2024.

Speaking on the importance of the research documentations, Dr. Jia Kangbia maintained that the importance of research and documentation in  health promotion, enabling healthcare professionals to gather data, make informed decisions, and accurately record outcomes for continuous evaluation and improvement.
