Alhaji Moijueh Emmanuel Kaikai, one of Pujehun District’s most esteemed figures and former Minister of Social Welfare Gender and Children’s Affairs, Minister of Labour, and Resident Minister South, has displayed his unwavering commitment to education by donating 1000 Leones (One Million Old Leones) to the Presidential National Best Teacher Award winner in Pujehun District for secondary level, Madam Mariama Massaquoi.
The donation was presented to Madam Massaquoi, an exceptional educator at Holy Rosary Secondary School Pujehun, in recognition of her outstanding performance in the prestigious Presidential National Best Teacher Award ceremony held in September this year.
This award, a significant accolade in Sierra Leone’s education sector, aims to honor educators who exhibit exceptional dedication and passion for teaching.
Alhaji Moijueh Emmanuel Kaikai, known for his philanthropic endeavors, expressed his admiration for Madam Massaquoi’s dedication and intelligence, emphasizing her relentless pursuit of excellence. “I have always known Madam Massaquoi as a well-dedicated, devoted, and goal-oriented person,” affirmed Alhaji Moijueh.
In response, Madam Mariama Massaquoi expressed her gratitude for the recognition and pledged to continue her efforts to uplift the educational standards in Pujehun District and Sierra Leone as a whole.
She dedicated the donation to her students, urging them to focus on their studies to achieve remarkable accomplishments.
Additionally, Alhaji Moijueh Kaikai announced further incentives to encourage academic excellence.
He challenged the pupils of Holy Rosary Secondary School, promising a reward of 2 million Leones for the best candidate at the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) scoring between 6 and 15 aggregate points.
Moreover, he pledged 3 million Leones for the student achieving outstanding results at the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
