Showcasing of national pride and cultural celebration, the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Affairs (MTCA) alongside its subvented Agencies, including the National Tourist Board and the Monument and Relics Commission, inaugurated the “Week of Sierra Leonean Creativity and Innovation” on March 25, 2024.

The event marked a significant stride in promoting indigenous talent and ingenuity within the country.

A diverse assembly of staff members from the MTCA and its affiliated Agencies commenced the week-long festivity by donning exquisite African attire, proudly crafted in Sierra Leone. The attire, emblematic of the rich cultural heritage of the nation, served as a fitting tribute to the spirit of creativity and innovation that permeates throughout Sierra Leonean society.

Aligned with the overarching theme of the ongoing Create and Innovate month as part of the Tourism for All Campaign, the “Week of Sierra Leonean Creativity and Innovation” seeks to amplify local talent, foster entrepreneurship, and celebrate the diverse cultural tapestry of the nation. Minister Nabeela Tunis, alongside the Senior Management Team, led by example, showcasing their cultural regalia with grace and elegance.
