The State House Director of Communications, Myk Berewa, has in a recent statement defended the government’s achievements over the past seven years in response to criticisms from the All People’s Congress (APC).
Berewa asserted that Sierra Leone has made significant progress across various sectors under President Julius Maada Bio’s administration.
His response were specifically directed at the All People’s Congress (APC) Party’s publicity and media person, Abdul Karim Kamara, who recently criticized President Bio’s “Big Five Game Changers,” labeled it as “Fantasy on Paper.”
During his remarks, Berewa emphasized the government’s commitment to infrastructure development, noting the construction of thousands of schools throughout the country.
He further affirmed that Freetown is experiencing improved electricity access compared to previous years, marking a notable advancement in the nation’s energy sector.
While acknowledging that Sierra Leone has not yet reached the standards of first-world countries, Berewa stressed that the nation is gradually making strides toward sustainable development.
“We are making baby steps,” he affirmed, underscoring the importance of recognizing the progress that has been made.
