Chief Ernest Bamba Ndomahina, Commissioner of the National Commission for Social Action (NaCSa SL), met with Zonal Imams and executives representing Kori, Kowa, and Kamaje Chiefdoms in Taiama Town, Moyamba, on Saturday, September 27, 2025. The gathering aimed to strengthen unity among Muslim communities in the three chiefdoms.
Sheik Muhammad O. Massaquoi of Kori Chiefdom chaired the meeting, which highlighted the vital role of Muslims in the nation’s development. Commissioner Ndomahina praised their contributions to peace, unity, and national progress, urging leaders to continue praying for the country’s future.
“Unity is essential,” Ndomahina said. “I urge all of you to come together socially, religiously, economically, culturally, and politically.” He also emphasized the importance of praying for children to protect them from drugs and other negative influences.
To support the cause of unity, Commissioner Ndomahina pledged Twenty Thousand Leone (NLe20,000) to a bank account for the Zone, reinforcing his commitment to fostering collaboration among the three chiefdoms.
The meeting saw attendance from prominent figures, including PC Thomas B. Gappi IV, his wife Madam Umu Gbappi, Chiefdom Speaker Rev. Sorie Kamanda, Alhaji Abdullah Mansaray, and chief imams from Kori, Kowa, and Kamaje Chiefdoms.
This initiative marks a significant step toward enhancing solidarity among Muslim communities in Moyamba, paving the way for a more unified and prosperous future.
