Commissioner for the National Commission for Social Action (NaCSA), Ambassador Ernest Nbaimba Ndomahina has responded to allegation of unpaid contributions for its staff members to the National Security and Insurance Trust (NASSIT).
According to the commissioner he stated that the period in question the unpaids NASSIT contributions occurred before he assumed office as Commissioner of NaCSA adding that the period was between 2016 and 2021 when he was serving as the Sierra Leone Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China.
He further disclosed that the Commission and the Board were working to resolve the issue of the non-payment of NASSIT contributions for workers, adding that NaCSA under his leadership has consistently prioritized the welfare of its employees and adhered to all statutory obligations, including NASSIT contributions under his watch.
He urged the staff to remain calm and trust in NaCSA’s commitment to transparency and accountability.
Prior to being appointed as Commissioner of NaCSA in 2023, Amator Ndomahina had successfully served as Sierra Lene Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China, where he worked assiduously towards strengthening the bilateral relation between Sierra Leone and China. He also played a great role towards ensuring that the Government of China came to the rescue of Sierra Leone during the outbreak of GOVICH19. It was through his dynamic leadership as Sierra Leone Ambassador to the Peoples Republic of China that President Bio decided to appoint him as Commissioner of NaCSA for the implementation of projects and prohrammes aimed at alleviating poverty in the country.
