The Director General of National Social Security and Insurance Trust, Mohamed Fuaad Daboh, on Wednesday, 13th May 2026, led a high-powered delegation of the Trust to the residence of the late Victor Jarward in a solemn condolence visit aimed at sympathising with the bereaved family and honouring the memory of the deceased former staff member.
The visit, according to officials of the Trust, was part of the institution’s continued demonstration of solidarity with its staff and their families during moments of grief and loss.
It also served as an opportunity for the leadership of NASSIT to pay tribute to a colleague described as a committed and dependable public servant who contributed significantly to the institution’s mandate.

Addressing the family on behalf of the Board of Trustees, Management and the entire staff of NASSIT, Director General Mohamed Fuaad Daboh expressed profound sorrow over the passing of Victor Jarward, whom he described as a symbol of professionalism, resilience and unwavering dedication to duty.
“Jaward was not just an employee; he was a pillar of dependability within the NASSIT family,” Mr Daboh stated. “Even amid challenging operational demands, his resilience shone through, and his dedication to efficient service delivery has left an indelible mark on his colleagues and the institution.”
The Director General further noted that the late Victor Jarward’s commitment to public service and exemplary work ethic distinguished him among his peers, adding that his contributions to the Trust would continue to be remembered by both management and staff.

In line with the institution’s corporate philosophy and policy of “NASSIT, We Care!”, Mr Daboh presented a funeral support package to the family of the deceased. The support comprised a distress allowance, burial allowance and additional management support intended to assist the family during the mourning period.
He explained that although no financial assistance could replace the loss of a loved one, the gesture demonstrated the institution’s commitment to standing by its employees and their families during difficult times.
The Director General also used the occasion to encourage staff members across the country to emulate the positive values demonstrated by the late Victor Jarward throughout his years of service.
“The best way to preserve Victor’s legacy is for the current workforce to emulate his exemplary hard work, selflessness, punctuality and robust commitment to service,” he said.
Receiving the delegation on behalf of the bereaved family, a representative of the Jarward family expressed appreciation to the Director General and his team for what was described as a timely and compassionate visit.
The family representative commended the NASSIT leadership for taking time from their demanding schedules not only to sympathise with the family, but also to provide practical support during their moment of grief. According to the family, the visit, words of comfort and financial assistance provided them with strength during what they described as one of their darkest moments.
The condolence visit ended with solemn prayers led by the Deputy Director General, Administration, Mohammed Gondoe, who prayed for the peaceful repose of the soul of the late Victor Jarward and for strength and comfort for the family he left behind.
