The National Social Security and Insurance Trust (NASSIT) has donated a 32-seater bus to Eastern Technical University to open a new chapter of academic journey for students at the university.

The donation came, through the student’s union government to enhance academic excellence and support student with simple access to transportation. This will help the students to be able to be on campus to attend their lectures.

The Vice president of the Student Union at Eastern Technical University, Millicent Swaray, said that they are very appreciative of the gesture, and they are happy that they will no longer be late for lectures. She also said that the bus will facilitate their movement to and from campus and it will be used for extracurricular trips to help them in their studies. She said this will stop the lateness on campus and the manner at which they produce bad grades due to lateness. She added that they will use this opportunity to converse the many problems of transportation,

John Juana, the Registrar of the University said that the administration is going to ensure that there will be a committee that will encompasses the admiration, engineering department and the Student Union who will determine the rules and regulations of the maintenance, payment and use of the bus to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
