The National Youth Commission together with partners from, World Bank, NACSA and the Anti-Corruption Commission has organized a two day orientation for five professional project staff.
The orientation came about as part of the Productive Social Safety Net and Youth Employment Project (PSSNYE) for young people across the country, which may see that, young people are better capacitated for future challenges and equip them more.
The Commission being a gender sensitive institution that opens leverages and equal opportunities for every Sierra Leonean across the country has been focused on one of its key values, which is to empower youths and help them develop in business so they will be able to inculcate these ideas and address issues in their communities as change agents.
According to them, the orientation seeks to strategically support 8000 young people, who would be trained and capacitated in business for the next five years, starting with a pilot of 400 young people for this year in five districts.
