In a recent exchange on social media, the CEO of She Bar Concept, a prominent figure in Sierra Leone, responded to a Facebook post by Dr. David Moinina Sengeh, the Chief Minister of Sierra Leone. Dr. Sengeh’s post detailed his attendance at a tribunal investigating alleged misconduct by public officials, specifically Mrs. Lara Taylor-Pearce and Mr. Tamba Momoh.
Dr. Sengeh’s Facebook post highlighted the witnesses’ discussions on the misuse of public funds and lack of professional performance in various audits, including those related to the Transform Freetown Project. He expressed excitement about the tribunal’s progress, refuting claims that the government was hindering proceedings.
In a swift response, the CEO of She Bar Concept contested Dr. Sengeh’s account, stating that the witnesses did not discuss the misuse of public funds. Instead, they focused on funds received by implementing partners from donors on behalf of the FCC, emphasizing that these funds were not directly deposited into the FCC account. The CEO urged Dr. Sengeh to provide accurate information to the public and questioned his brief attendance at the hearing.
Dr. Sengeh countered the CEO’s response, questioning her awareness of the case put forth by the government. He emphasized that the duration of his presence at the hearing did not diminish the validity of his statements and called for accountability and transparency in governance.
Undeterred, She Bar Concept’s CEO replied, asserting her consistent attendance at tribunal hearings and her right as a citizen to set the record straight. She refuted Dr. Sengeh’s characterization of the proceedings, highlighting her practice of taking detailed notes during every sitting. She defended her decision not to report on ongoing case details, asserting that the time for such disclosures had not yet arrived.
The exchange reached a conclusion with She Bar Concept’s CEO expressing disdain for misinformation, deeming it dangerous and destructive. She called on leaders, including Dr. Sengeh, to be more accurate and robust in relaying information to citizens.
@ CEO She bar consept well done and rightly said. I don’t know if the Chuef Ministers presence was necessary there however he should give proper and correct information of the case to the Citizen. He must also remember that the international bodies are watching…why Suerra Leone? Were does this government wants to take the country to is it back ward or forward?
