The National Election Watch Sierra Leone (NEW-SL) has engaged over 400 member organizations across the country on peace and national cohesion ahead of the June general elections.
The engagement which was done on the 14th of April 2023 in Bombali district was based on “Civic Engagement with NEW heads of organizations and the wider civil society leadership”.
NEW has also ended a 2-day workshop on its 2023 election observation strategy with its partners in Freetown where they engaged the NDI, the US Embassy in Freetown, and IRI Global among others.
The National Election Watch (NEW) is a coalition of Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) observing elections in Sierra Leone. They have been instrumental in election monitoring and peacebuilding for which they planned to work on their core mandate of promoting peace and sustainable development in Sierra Leone.
