Nigeria High Commission to Investigate Allegations on Its Military Officers
After the August 10th 2022 demonstration in some parts of the country that lead to the loss of lives and properties, an audio has went viral accusing Nigeria military officers of being responsible for the death of protesters.
In that light, the Nigeria High Commission in Sierra Leone has issued a release stating that the commission has engaged the relevant host government agencies and investigations have commenced to unravel the perpetrators of the statement.
The statement urges all Nigerians across the country to stay calm and be law abiding and to complied the curfew order and to also monitor local news media for information.
The statement issued contacts numbers to be reached by Nigerians if any emergencies arise.
It ends by stating that the commission will continue to collaborate with the host government authorities to protect the interest and welfare of Nigerians in Sierra Leone.
