the Minister of Information and Civic Education, Chernor Bah, announced the launch of a direct flight service between Lagos and Freetown during the Ministry’s weekly press briefing.

The service, operated by Overland Airways, Nigeria’s longest-serving private domestic airline, is set to enhance travel convenience and strengthen ties between Sierra Leone and Nigeria.

Minister Bah revealed that the flights will operate three times a week, departing Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday at 2:00 PM.

The flights will land at Freetown International Airport by 3:45 PM, offering a swift and efficient travel option for both business and leisure travelers.

“This new direct flight service will simplify travel logistics, making it easier for individuals and businesses to move between our two countries,” said Minister Bah.

He emphasized the importance of regional connectivity as a driver of economic growth, trade, and cultural exchange within West Africa.

Overland Airways, known for its reliable operations and commitment to customer satisfaction, is expected to provide a seamless experience for travelers.

The initiative reflects a growing demand for improved air travel services between Sierra Leone and Nigeria, reinforcing their long-standing partnership and opening new avenues for collaboration in trade and tourism.

With this development, Sierra Leoneans and Nigerians can look forward to shorter travel times, reduced transit hassles, and greater opportunities for bilateral engagement.
