The Sierra Leone Police Force has taken the decision to send Assistant Inspector General (AIG) Mr. Francis M. Tower, the Nort West regional commander on an indefinite leave.
This action follows allegations that AIG Tower allowed protesters in Port Loko to demonstrate on Monday, September 11th, under the protection of police forces.
In a transfer order issued promptly, AIG Tower’s leave was enacted with immediate effect.
Reports from Port Loko indicate that protesters took to the streets on the aforementioned date with security forces visibly present alongside them. The presence of the police was intended to maintain order and prevent any potential escalations or disturbances during the demonstration.
They are just continuing to expose themselves to the world. Karma will take its course on them soon.
So they expect police to fight the people? What a government in Salone
Wrong photo of the AIG
Do you want him to kill the protesters why sierra Leone is like this the LUC is trying to do the right thing because he knows that to protest is the right of the citizens of sierra Leone.
Congratulation to the police management
The press release is not clear
The Police AIG was to simply follow orders from above and not to assist a few groups of lawless people carrying out public disorder. Most of you commenting here are doing so based on political party affiliation and not on the truth.
Where are we go wrong in Sierra Leone?
I want to suggest that the next time the IGP himself should go to Port Loko to prevent the the people of Port Loko from demonstrating for their rights. Mr IGP, You are cordially invited to Port Loko.
Please inform the youths of Port Loko district when you are ready to go there.
Please go there before you go to the ICC.
Indeed you need some education, so go for more training.
The picture is not Aig Francis but Aig Mustapha change it please
Hmm,OH SALONE!!!
The police and army are forces and they operate on command. The police boss of Portloko should have simply followed orders if not he is not fit to be a police not to mention a boss in that area.
ICC, Is Waiting For You guys,Just Do What You Feel like To, The True Shall Prevail One Day. The Ends, Shall Justify the means.
I guess AIG was doing the right, so that there won’t be any more killings and property damage. I wish his case can be reviewed.
Joseph He was not asked to kill the protesters nor allow them to protest. The organizers are not known to the police and therefore no permission was given to them to protest. AIG´s action was incompetent and amounts to misapplication of instruction. Period. Sierra Leone must not be dragged to the level of Rebels
He is a corrupt man, just look at the mansions he has planted in Bo by Kebbie Town. He needs to be investigated, l believe he received bribe to allow the protest.
I’m sure they order him to kill protesters, should they persist. God will reward the AIG for serving his conscience as a lesson to all police officers. Even if my parents tell me wrong I will serve my conscience guided by moral and religious values Woe to the police force by now they know not everyone is happy with the status quo
In forces, we follow order. We don’t do our own will but order from our bosses. So if he failed to follow instructions and order from his boss, he deserved to be disciplined.
Obey and report.
Everything is just temporal on earth including power, Allah knows best!
The military showed up on Thursday through Wednesday to threaten citizens with war weapons. This made people nervous and lot that said they were going to do the peaceful protest made the scared for their lives. The protection was needed on the 11th of September not on the 7th through the 13th. I believe there are more check points that collect money from citizens stating “ bra or bor bor them day yah ohh.” This shouldn’t be happening in Sierra Leone 🇸🇱. The supposed to be the command in chief is wasting time flying around the country, instead of fixing the economical issues in the country. Hand off our Girls is not doing their job. I spotted a 12 year old girl selling water, sat at the front of a closed store playing with string. I gave her 40 Leones to go home. She was so great full and started crying. My colleague and I were in tears as we left the seen.
