The National Revenue Authority (NRA) has issued an urgent notice to all mining companies, Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) license holders, Internet Service Providers (ISPs), television and radio stations, and state land lease holders, urging them to settle their outstanding tax and non-tax liabilities without further delay.

According to the NRA, the enforcement action is in line with Section 12 of the Finance Act of 2019, which mandates the Authority to recover all due revenues owed to the government.

The notice warns that failure to comply will lead to immediate enforcement measures, including the sealing of business premises, garnishment of business accounts, and restrictions on travel outside the country.

The Authority has therefore called on all affected entities to take the notice seriously and regularize their obligations promptly to avoid these penalties.

The NRA reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring full compliance with national revenue laws, stressing that timely payment of taxes and non-tax revenues is essential for supporting government programs and public service delivery.
