The National Sports Authority (NSA) has expressed deep sorrow over the loss of life following a tragic incident that occurred on Sunday.
Sierraloaded reports that a section of the National Stadium’s perimeter fence collapsed, resulting in the death of a 38-year-old man identified as Sullaiman Bah. The collapse, triggered by heavy rainfall, took place opposite the Grey Bush community.
The National Sports Authority (NSA) expressed deep sorrow and extended condolences to the bereaved family. It is important to note that the collapsed fence was part of the stadium’s original 1979 structure and was not affected by the ongoing rehabilitation efforts.
In light of the incident, the NSA has urged residents living near the affected area to consider temporary relocation as efforts to rectify the situation are underway. The authority’s leadership, led by Dr. Emmanuel Saffa Abdulai Esq., has called on the public to exercise caution during this rainy season.
The NSA has appealed to the public to remain calm as investigations into the incident continue.
