His Royal Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse III, the Olu of Warri in Delta State, Nigeria, is on a diplomatic visit to Sierra Leone, during which he toured several of the country’s key cultural and historical landmarks.
The visit forms part of his participation in President Julius Maada Bio’s Leadership Colloquium, which brought together regional leaders and stakeholders for high-level engagement.
During his tour, the Olu of Warri visited the Sierra Leone National Museum, the Peace Museum, and the Leicester Peak Viewing Deck, where he was exposed to aspects of the country’s rich cultural heritage and historical identity.

He was warmly received by the Minister of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, Nabeela Farida Tunis, alongside officials from the Ministry and the Monuments and Relics Commission. The visit was accompanied by cultural performances by the National Dance Troupe.
The tour was guided by Francis Momoh, Research and Development Officer at the Monuments and Relics Commission, together with museum staff, who provided detailed explanations of Sierra Leone’s history, culture, and heritage sites.
According to the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, such visits continue to highlight Sierra Leone’s cultural richness and growing tourism sector, while also strengthening regional cultural ties and attracting increased interest from African and international visitors.
