Orange has officially opened applications for the 16th edition of its Orange Ventures Prize in Middle East and Africa (OSVP), a flagship initiative aimed at supporting high-impact entrepreneurial innovation across the region.

Starting March 26, 2026, and running until May 10, 2026, entrepreneurs from the 17 countries where Orange operates in Africa and the Middle East are invited to submit their applications via the dedicated platform at POESAM.Orange.com.

The 2026 edition places a strong emphasis on startups leveraging advanced technologies—including artificial intelligence, big data, and cybersecurity—to generate lasting positive impact for communities and the environment. Projects in key sectors such as agriculture, education, health, and environmental sustainability are particularly encouraged due to their transformative potential in the region.

Beyond financial prizes, the OSVP serves as a growth accelerator. Winners receive support through Orange Digital Centers and gain access to strategic partnerships designed to foster expansion, open new market opportunities, facilitate funding, and provide critical expertise.

Since its inception, the competition has received more than 17,600 applications, establishing itself as a key catalyst for innovative entrepreneurship across Africa and the Middle East.

The competition unfolds in two stages. During the national phase, running from March 26 to May 10, national winners will be selected in each of the 17 countries following evaluations by juries comprising ecosystem stakeholders and Orange representatives.

In the international phase, the three national winners from each country advance to compete for the International Grand Prix, which will award first, second, and third prizes, as well as the International Women’s Prize, for which up to three candidates per country may be nominated.

Projects are initially assessed by a committee of Orange Group employees, after which 10 finalists will be selected for the International Grand Prix and five finalists for the International Women’s Prize. A final jury composed of experts and prominent figures from the tech and entrepreneurship sectors will name the three Grand Prix winners and the International Women’s Prize winner in October 2026.

Winners receive financial support to scale their solutions, with €25,000 awarded for first prize, €15,000 for second, €10,000 for third, and €20,000 for the International Women’s Prize.

Through the OSVP, Orange reaffirms its commitment to supporting youth, fostering innovation, and promoting inclusive economic development, aiming to help surface the key players of tomorrow’s economy.
