The leading Mobile Company in Sierra Leone, Orange in collaboration with Mama-Pikin Foundation has embarked on safeguarding maternal and neonatal health systems in every district in the country.

In a press conference held at their head office at Hill Station, Freetown, the representative from Orange SL, Ohina Wansa appreciated the Mama-Pikin Foundation team for the partnership which is focused at safety for women and girls respectively.

Phina forna, from the Mama-Pikin Foundation expressed excitement over the work done on maternal health safety, and for the preservation of the health of every mother in Sierra Leone.

She said that the project also reflects their commitment towards contriSheing to their social goals by engaging as well as supporting a sustainable developmental strive in the country. She noted that their foundation is built on one of the cores of strategic health development for women and girls.

Speaking more on the partnership, she said Orange SL has established a very strong working force with them, which may have to get a greater impact to achieving the set by both parties.

The Executive Director Mama-Pikin Foundation, Fatu Forna expressed her profound thanks and appreciation to Orange SL as well as confirming that, this will be a great start iconfirmedtionship between them to achieve more opportunities in solving the issues of women and girls in the country.

She said, the foundation came into being in 2008 on te ground to help the needy, noting that they have been working closely with the Ministry of Health and Sanitation as well as complementing the work of the ministry.

She said with the work of of saving lives of mothers and new born babies have prompted them to work with health facilities, hospital and societies.

Forna added that there are different things they do at to mak sure that the lives of these mothers and new born babies are in safe hands at all time.

She maintained that, they are supporting eight government clinics in six districts, ranging from the Western Urban Area, Western Rural, Kenema, Bombali, Koinadugu and Kono Districts.
