Mohamed Orman Bangura, the former Minister of Youth Affairs in Sierra Leone, has spoken publicly for the first time after being relieved of his duties by President Julius Maada Bio.

In his statement, Bangura expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to serve the youth of Sierra Leone.

Looking back on his time in office, Bangura reflected on the projects he led to support young people across the country. “I am profoundly grateful to His Excellency, President Julius Maada Bio, for giving me the platform to serve our nation’s youth,” he said. “I embraced this role with dedication, worked diligently to influence change, and spearheaded impactful projects that empowered young people across Sierra Leone.”

Throughout his tenure, Bangura focused on initiatives aimed at creating jobs, supporting youth entrepreneurship, and providing vocational training, all intended to help young people build self-reliance and contribute to national development.

Bangura also spoke about his strong commitment to the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP). “I remain an SLPP member through and through. Leadership is not about titles it’s about service,” he said. “I will continue to serve with the same diligence and passion, working for the progress of our beloved nation.”

Despite his dismissal, Bangura spoke of his loyalty to the SLPP and his continued commitment to the youth of Sierra Leone.
