Sierra Leone Parliament Passes Redenomination of Leones Into Law, Bank Governor to Announces Commencement Date
Ishmaila Jalloh Sierra Leone Parliament has passed the Redenomination of Leones Bill into Law on the 14 December 2021.
The Bill for the re-denomination of the leones has been passed in the well of Parliament.
Bank Governor, Kelfala Murana Kallon, will effect the new bill being, making the re-denomination effective.
The Bank Governor will anytime from now announces the date for the commencement of the use of the new leones.
Such announcement from the Bank Governor will effectively mean Le1,000,000 will become Le1000.
