On Thursday, July 27, 2023, the Sierra Leone Parliament approved nearly 30 presidential nominees

Their approval followed after the House debated the Second Report of the Committee on Appointments and the Public Service.

The debate which was chaired by the Majority Leader and Leader of Government Business, Honourable Mathew Sahr Nyuma approved 29 presidential nominees.

The Acting Speaker of Parliament, Honourable Sengepoh Thomas congratulated the new approved nominees while urging them to serve diligently.

Some of the nominees approved included Chernor A. Bah, Minister of Information and Civic Education, Julius Daniel Mattai, Minister of Mines and Mineral Resources and Mohamed Rahman Swaray, Minister of Employment, Labour and Social Security.
