On Monday 1st July, 2024, Africell Mobile Company host a Meet and Greet with 29-year-old Nigerian Pelumi Nubi, at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Freetown to share her experience after her over two months solo journey from Europe to Africa.

Pelumi Nubi who was raised in London is the first woman to solo drive from United Kingdom to Nigeria. Nubi used her iconic purple Peugeot 107, travel through 17 countries including Sierra Leone to her final destination Nigeria.

The event showcase major highlights of Nubi’s journey throughout the 17 countries she visited.

According to Pelumi Nubi, she is an adventurous person who like to discovered places and has embarked on several journeys describing this as her biggest journey.

She said since she was a child she fall in love with traveling and normally reads traveling books to gain experience in traveling.

She advised young people to always believed in themselves making instance of herself on the creative and negative response she received when she first announced her intention of traveling.

She said people should not allowed challenges to pull they back while explaining some of her challenges she encountered through her journey where she was involved in an accident and was asked by her parents to quit the journey and return home but her passion and dedication keeps her going.

The event was climaxed with a question and answer session where attendees gained insights from her adventures, and also a networking opportunities allowing guests to connect with Pelumi Nubi and each other.
