On Wednesday, August 2nd, 2023, businessman and philanthropist Musa Koroma generously donated forty-eight (48) yards of rugs to AIG Brima Kanneh, the Regional Police Commander South, on behalf of the Sierra Leone Police. The rugs will be used to furnish the newly constructed New-Barracks Police Mosque in Bo city.

The donation came after several networking with various philanthropists across the Southern Region by the leadership of the Regional Police Commander South- AIG Brima Kanneh.

AIG Kanneh expressed heartfelt gratitude for this timely and highly appreciated donation. He highlighted that the design of the Mosque currently under construction differs from the previous one.

Emphasizing the significance of timely completion, he cautioned the contractors to prioritize completing the projects within the agreed stipulated deadline.

It is speculative that; the said Mosque will accommodate up to 700 people and will serve both men and women; including children.

“A Mosque lies at the heart of a Muslim community and gives a space to gather for worship, and contributing towards a Mosque is Sadaqah Jariah,” Said AIG.

The Sierra Leone Police have enjoyed, still enjoying, and will continue to enjoy compatible bilateral connections, and without doubt, the Police will keep enjoying the humanitarian love from Mr. Musa Koroma; and consequently from other good and well-wishers; as Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said the best of mankind in the world are those whose life benefits others and impact positively.

According to the Chief Imam attached to the said Mosque, Gibrilla Sahid Samura, the forty-eight (48) yards of Rugs will be used for its intended purposes for subsequent opportunities; and also extended on behalf of the Islamic Congregation a heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Mr. Musa Koroma.

The donation climaxed with an official handing-over ceremony which was done in the presence of many other stakeholders in the New Police Barracks, Bo City.
