Alhassan Tejan Kamara, an officer of the Sierra Leone Police’s Operational Support Division (OSD) in Kamakwie, is facing possible dismissal following a disciplinary hearing on charges of misconduct.
The Sierra Leone Police’s Disciplinary Hearing Committee recommended Kamara’s dismissal after he pleaded guilty to assaulting his girlfriend, a brutal incident that has garnered public attention.
Possible dismissal? If he is guilty of domestic abuse, he has to go. A violator of the law can not be a police officer. Domestic abuse is a problem and a police officer who abuses his wife can not be part of the solution.
These are people we are expecting them to preach peace not fight in our nation, I hope justice will be done in this matter well, looking forward for the final decision of the matter.
