The Press Secretary and Presidential Spokesperson of the Office of the President, Sierra Leone, Yusuf Keketoma Sandi has said that the network constraints and issues with the Turkish Karpowership are the reasons for the electricity shortage Freetown residents are currently experiencing.
He made this statement at 98.1 Good Morning Sierra Leone radio program.
The Presidential Spokesman was responding to issues that are affecting Sierra Leoneans as President Julius Maada Bio clocked four years in office.
When asked why there’s no more 24 hours electricity in Freetown?
Sandi responded that it is because they are having network constraints and issues with the karpowership that is generating electricity to Freetown residents.
He added that there is also a challenge in the maintenance of the Karpowership, noting as a result of that there generation of electricity has significantly decreased.
