QNET, a 26-year-old lifestyle and wellness-focused global direct selling company, is aware of the news item published by the Sierra Leone Monitor on 4th December, 2024 with the headline: “Guinean Ambassador Engages IGP Sellu.”

The report suggested that the Guinean Ambassador referred to QNET as an illegal enterprise, while the Inspector General of Police of Sierra Leone noted that the company might be classified as an illegal entity in Sierra Leone. QNET has consistently reiterated the fact that it is a legitimate direct-selling company, not a Ponzi scheme or an illegal entity. It does not condone illegality or illegal gatherings.

“QNET knows that some unscrupulous individuals in Guinea and Sierra Leone are engaged in activities capable of tarnishing the image and reputation of the company. The company is not associated with these individuals and we continue to invest in educating key stakeholders, including security agencies and the public, about our products and business practices. Unlike Ponzi schemes or companies engaging in illegalities, QNET’s direct selling model allows individuals to become independent distributors of QNET products, earning commissions based on sales rather than recruitment,” QNET’s Regional General Manager for sub-Saharan Africa, Biram Fall, explained.

QNET is implementing its media and public education campaign across the sub-region. The “Say No” and “QNET Against Scams” campaigns utilise strategic billboards, television and radio announcements, online media banners, newspaper publications and interactive flyer distribution methods to spread the truth about QNET and warn the public about individuals misusing its name and products to facilitate fraudulent activities.

So far this year, QNET has helped over 250 victims report fraudulent activities tied to the misuse of QNET’s name. Additionally, the company has initiated more than 35 legal cases across Sub-Saharan Africa to address this issue.

The company urges stakeholders to support its fight against misrepresentations. QNET calls on the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities involving its name to the nearest police station or reach out to QNET via its WhatsApp hotline at +233 256 630 005 or email at [email protected].
