On Monday 20th November 2023, the Ministry of Communications Technology and Innovation held a one day conference to lunch the National E-Government plan at the new Brookfields Hotel in Freetown. The launch of the E-Governance brought together stakeholders, government representatives and experts to share ideas on the above mentioned plan.

The National E-Government plan is aimed at improving the quality of government services in various sectors and creating the environment for Citizens to easily access government services without having to worry about constrains.

In her address to stakeholders, the Minister of Communications Technology and Innovation Salima Bah reiterated President Julius Maada Bio’s commitment to strengthen Tech-infrastructures in the governance, especially in achieving the big five game changers.

She added that, this E-government plan will be of great help to promote digital illiteracy, accessibility of government activities, provide agricultural information and easy application of national ID card and other relevant national documents through digital application.

In her summary statement, she encouraged heads of government parastatals to take advantage of this opportunity as it would ensure that their works become easier, effective, transparent and proper management of vital documents.
