The Ministry of Information and Civic Education has announced the event plan of the Salone Civic Festival 2025, a landmark three-day event designed to strengthen communication between government and citizens.

The ministry is believed to have the core mandate to bridge the communication gap between the state and the people, the Festival is expected to serve as a national platform for dialogue, transparency, and civic engagement.

Throughout the Festival, citizens will participate in panel discussions on critical national issues, including:
• Feed Salone – advancing food security and agricultural transformation
• Census and Redistricting – ensuring fair representation and effective planning
• Constitutional Review – shaping the future of governance
• The Economy – strategies for growth and resilience
• Technology and Innovation – driving digital transformation
• Health and Education – building inclusive, quality systems for all

In addition to these scheduled topics, the Festival is also believed to serve as a platform where citizens will express themselves in emerging issues and engage directly with government officials. This open dialogue is seen by some a conduit that presupposes the ministry’s commitment to radical inclusion, accountability, and participatory governance.
The Ministry believes that Salone Civic Festival 2025 will not only serve as a forum for discussion but also a celebration of civic responsibility and national transformation. It is expected to reflect Sierra Leone’s ongoing journey toward a more inclusive, transparent, and responsive democracy.
