The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) case against Dr. Samura Kamara and five other individuals has faced another delay, with the new adjournment set for Friday, November 17, 2023. The case is linked to the ongoing trial of the Sierra Leone Chancery Building in New York in Freetown.
Initially scheduled for October 27, 2023, the delay is due to other urgent court commitments and the pursuit of justice.
The ACC case, titled “The State vs. Saidu Nallo, Adikali Foday Suma, Foday Vahfomba Bawoh, Samura Mathew Wilson Kamara, Kandeh Foday Basil Kamara, & Jules Sanders Davis,” is now set for November 17, 2023.
Dr. Samura Matthew Wilson Kamara faces one count of deceiving a principal and one count of misappropriation of public funds totaling $2,560,000, intended for the reconstruction of the Sierra Leone Chancery Building in New York.
Dr. Samura Kamara vehemently denies these allegations, asserting that the case is politically motivated and aimed at tarnishing the solid reputation he has built over the years.
