The leading Presidential candidate for the main opposition party, the All People’s Congress (APC) party, Dr Samura Methew Wilson Kamara in a press release dated Friday, 3 January 2023, sympathised with victims of the Bo City, Mini Stadium.
Dr Kamara noted that he felt bad to learn about the ugly incident that left dozens of school-going kids, girls in particular, from various schools in the Bo Municipality, injured.
Dr Samua Kamara lamented that the incident is sad, adding that the program which was staged at the stadium was laudable while extending heartfelt condolences to the victims’ families, relatives and loved ones.
He however, thanked the government of President Bio for taking prompt actions to salvage the ill incident, which left dozens of school-going girls in the country’s second capital city being involved in such a difficult situation.
It could be recalled that the sad incident occurred when the President and the First Lady visited Bo to supply poor and vulnerable school girls with sanitary pads.
Also, the Minister for Basic and Senior School Education, Dr David M. Sengeh, indicated that there was nothing like a collapse nor any serious fatality recorded. He however disclosed that there was only a break of a railing in the stadium, adding that, all that happened to the students, was a “falling off the railing, and nothing beyond that.”
