The 2018 Presidential flagbearer of the main opposition All People’s Congress (APC), Dr. Samura Mathew Wilson Kamara has recently told a huge gathering of APC members and supporters that if given the chance to lead the country in 2023, he will rebuild the nation using his vast experience in local and international economic policies.
He furthered that he would also tap into the numerous good relationships he has with big investment groups and investors across the world.
The 2018 APC presidential candidate who is also running for the same position in the 2023 general election made the disclosure recently at a presser held to update members of the public on some of the negative development taking place across the country, under the current Rtd. Brig. Julius Maada Bio led government.
According to the technocrat and politician, the current SLPP led government has severally dented the good image of the country left behind by former Presidential Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma, adding that since the SLPP took over office in 2018, Sierra Leone ranking on good governance and democracy has been decreasing.
Dr. Samura Kamara also noted that since the Bio led government took over, the country has not seen much international or foreign investments coming in due to the bad handling of the economy and the many reports of corruptions, adding that Sierra Leoneans need to turn around the current economic conditions with the election of a competent and sober minded personally like him.
According to The Exclusive News, the former APC presidential candidate also revealed that the Bio led government has politicized and brought tribalism in all state institutions, noting that with him at the helm of state affairs, there will be no tribalism or politics in state institutions. He further promised to rebrand the current image of the nation to a better one, stating that, at present, Sierra Leone is known for nothing more than the murderer of good governance and democracy under the mantle of President Bio.
