Voter Registration is a very important exercise and a key factor that makes a citizen eligible to participate I am election of the country.
In the early hours of today Wednesday 7th September 2022, Dr. Samura Kamara and his Wife Mrs. Elizbeth Massah Samura Kamara registered at the Mafa Field Off Regent Road Malama Registration Centre.
Dr. Samura Kamara after successfully registering thanked the ECSL staff at the registration center for their national service to the state, and also sufficiently thanked the people in the queue for their exuberance in wanting to exercise their civic duty. He calmly appealed to the people to exercise patience and restraint, be peaceful and refrain from violence.
“It’s a must that all voters be registered to be eligible to participate in the forthcoming election”, Dr. Samura Kamara concluded.

Dr. Samura Kamara called on the Chief Electoral Commission and the ECSL in its entirety to be timely in addressing the numerous challenges that are on the ground especially the issues of the first-time voters, the use of one registration machine, and the slow pace of the process.
He further that ECSL should ensure that every Sierra Leonean that has or will reach the voting age on the 23rd of June, 2023 be registered to be eligible to vote come June 24th, 2023.
