The Chief Minister of the Republic Sierra Leone, Dr. David Moinina Sengeh has arrived in Washington, D. C to join the United States of America International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) for their first-of-its-kind Conference.

Reflecting on five years of investing in development, the DFC Conference will bring together senior U.S. government officials, Members of Congress, Foreign Leaders, Business Executives, and Changemakers to deliberate on what is next for development finance.

At this event, Sierra Leone’s Chief Minister Dr. David Moinina Sengeh will share a panel discussion centered on exploring the critical role of sustainable infrastructure in supporting economic growth, enhancing quality life, and ensuring environmental resilience.

In Sierra Leone , DFC is currently promoting access to reliable energy with up to $412 million, and have contributed $150 million to unlocking the aviation sector with a new state-of-the-art Freetown International Airport.

The Chief Minister was received at Dulles Airport by Ambassador Sidique Abou-Bakarr Wai, and Rakie Macarthy, Head of Chancery at the Embassy of Sierra Leone in Washington, D.C.
