Sierra Leone Chief Minister David Moinina Sengeh has given hope to citizens due to the present economic situation in the country.
Sengeh made his assurance in a post on Twitter, Saturday 29th July 2023.
He admitted that things are hard globally but the government is doing its best to manage the situation in the country.
He said as a government, they will increase revenue, improve on grant acquisition and management, support trade, and private investment and make smarter expenditures.
Sierra Leone’s economy is facing worse times as livelihood for the ordinary citizen is challenging as prices of commodities keep skyrocketing almost on a daily basis.
The country’s President, Julius Maada Bio blamed the hardship on the protracted effect of the war in Ukraine.
Sierra Leone’s currency, the Leone is also ranked top five in Johns Hopkins’ Hancke Currency Watchlist for most devalued currencies in 2022.
Although the Leone has started picking up, experts say the growth is slower to cushion the effect of inflation.
Good to hear Sir that sound is great
These are all fake, politics talk
Mr. Sengeh, you are feeding false information to this republic. In the first place, Maada Bio is no longer a president of this republic.
Maada Bio is not a democrat, he stole the democratic rights of the people of Sierra Leone and so we are not going to accept a thief and a non democrat as our leader.
Besides, Maada Bio has killed a lot of innocent people in this country and so he, Maada should face the ICC so that nobody else would attempt to follow his footsteps.
Maada Bio brought untold sufferings to the people of Sierra Leone through his reckless spending of our resources. We are not going to accept it anymore. The Leone is the worst currency in West Africa and the country is one of the poorest in the world.
Indeed, the people of Sierra Leone voted against Maada Bio and his PAOPA rebel and killer government.
The message is not repeated, you only want to find a way to delete it because it does not please you.
I pray that will get better as we are expecting much from the government this time.
