Chief Minister David Moinina Sengeh made an unannounced visit to Connaught Hospital on Saturday.

This unexpected visit, which took place during what began as a family outing, underscored his commitment to improving public health services in Sierra Leone.

After stopping for a fish pie at Salvonne Bakery, Chief Minister Sengeh convinced his family to accompany him to the hospital, showing his keen interest in the healthcare system. Upon arrival, he observed significant improvements, including the renovation of two wards and a cleaner environment, which had been promised during a prior engagement with the Ministry of Health five months earlier.

“The Ministry of Health and the leadership of Connaught are doing an incredible job,” Sengeh stated, praising the progress made at the facility.

Following the hospital visit, Chief Minister Sengeh and his family took the WakaFine public bus home, further connecting with the experiences of ordinary Sierra Leoneans.
